Hello and welcome! Thank you for sharing time out of your day with me. I am super excited about the cards I have to share with you today. There are almost step-by-step photos of my process. I even have a video explaining my process with you and we will make a card together.
I used Arctic, Caribbean Sky, Persian Blue, and Sapphire to create my ink blended backgrounds. I love how using the same supplies you can get different looks. It’s a wonderful way to stretch your supplies.
After stamping the trees with inks from the Green Valley family, Firefly, Grass Field, Shadow Creek, and Mountain Pine I then used Altenew Embossing Ink and Altenew Translucent Pearl embossing powder. This has become one of my favorites, don’t worry Antique Gold is still my all-time favorite.
Once the trees were embossed, I decided to use the Tiny Bubbles stencil to simulate snow on my trees. I used Altenew Embossing Paste to add dimension.
The trees were then dipped back into the Translucent Pearl embossing powder to add that extra detail.
I absolutely LOVE the dimension and shine I achieved with all of the embossing.
I then die-cut all of my stamped images with my Mini Blossom.
Next, I used the deer image from Modern Deer for an additional element on my card. Above, I am showing you how I use a piece of transparency to line up the stamps on my project before stamping.
I used the same process on these die-cuts that I did above. I stamped the deer in Hazelnut and the layer in Dark Chocolate. I then used the embossing ink and Translucent Pearl to add that extra shine.
This final card I used the same process as above. I had some additional colored embossing paste from another project I was working on. I used the Trellis stencil to apply the embossing paste. I was super happy with how it came out. I love that it’s not “perfect”. I think it adds character. I also added an enamel heart from the Red Cosmos collection.
