Hello everyone and thank you for joining me. I’m excited to share my third and final entry for this exciting contest.
My Craft-A-Flower: Rose came in the mail and I had to use it! I ripped it out of the package and got to creating with it. I was dying to get this into my hands! I pulled out gradient card stock in Green Meadows and Red Cosmos to create my florals. I used the new glue pen to adhere the flowers together. I am very impressed with the “hold” it has.
My background was created with Marsh Land washi. I layered a panel of vellum over the front of the panel to lighten the effect of the gray in the washi. I waited until I had everything laid out on my panel. I then applied glue behind the flowers and the sentiment so that it could not be seen through the vellum. I applied small drops of glue in the corners and in little areas across the front to make sure it stays adhered!
I used handwritten hello to die-cut from a strip of gold glitter tape. To create the strip that I die-cut from I layered the gold glitter tape onto a piece of vellum and then die-cut. It doesn’t add bulk and allows you to create any sized panel.
I then adhered the flowers and sentiment to my panel. When adhering to washi tape I like to use the more is better theory. I not only use the glue tape, but I also apply the glue pen. Can’t have enough adhesive when applying to slick surfaces.
Thank you again for sharing a little bit of your crafty time with me today.
Until next time, stay safe, and happy crafting!
