Altenew Washi Tape Explorer Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone, and welcome to this amazing hop celebrating the many gorgeous washi tapes from Altenew. Before we get to the projects, let’s make sure you are in the correct place. You should have arrived from LauraJane‘s blog, if not, please head back to the Altenew card blog for the complete listing. Head over to the Altenew shop to get 40% off all washi tapes.

These cards created themselves — I know impressive, right?!? What I mean is the supplies ended up next to each other on the chaos I call a desk. I had lots of leftover Just Leaves die-cuts from a class I taught with Altenew. I had recently purchased Gold Splatter Cosmic Berry Wide Washi and it was next to the die-cuts.

I adhered the die-cuts to an A2 card panel with Glue Tape and then placed the washi over the panel. This is one of the great things about the wide washi tape, it can cover a card panel. To ensure the washi was adhered everywhere, I put the card panel into a piece of folded copy paper to run it through my Gemini.

I decided at this point to create personalized stationary for myself. The Mega C alphabet die was used to die-cut the panel. I adhered foam tape to the back of the panel before adhering Gold Foil cardstock to the back.

The positive of my die-cut panel needed to be used! I added foam tape to the back of the “C”. Before adhering I ran more gold foil cardstock through my Spellbinders Platinum 6 with Window Slats 3D embossing folder. I adhered the panel to an A2 card panel before adhering the “C” to my card.

I hope this encourages you to try using die-cuts with washi tape and maybe even creating some cards for yourself!

Below are a few pictures from the Casey archives of projects I have done in the past. I will list the washi tape I used with each. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
